By Staff | Aug 5, 2009

Times of the Islands Inc., publishers of Times of the Islands, RSW Living and beginning in March 2009, Bonita Living magazines, has announced the acquisition of Gulf & Main magazine.

Friedrich N. Jaeger, who founded Times of the Islands (TOTI) on Sanibel in 1996, and his creative team will publish Gulf & Main six times per year, beginning immediately.

Gulf & Main was founded seven years ago and features an editorial content focused on local lifestyle, beauty, fashion, art and history. Currently, Gulf & Main is distributed at more than 1,000 outlets throughout Southwest Florida, as well as via paid subscriptions. Plans are in place to expand its local distribution, as well as re-focus the editorial content to better serve the magazine’s readers and advertisers.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to bring Gulf & Main into the TOTI publishing family,” Jaeger said. “I think the publication will continue to blossom under the quality standards we have established for TOTI since we began our first magazine 13 years ago.”

Former Gulf & Main co-publishers Amy Hogan and Tami Adamson, both of whom will serve as Creative Consultants to the Publisher, are committed to helping with a smooth transition.

“We feel Gulf & Main will only benefit from becoming a part of the TOTI Publishing group, allowing the magazine to rise to the next level,” noted Hogan. “Both our readership and the business community will notice and appreciate the award-winning editorial and visual style that have made TOTI publications so popular and appealing.”
