By Staff | Aug 5, 2009

The Cape Coral Yacht Club Basin will participate in National Marina Day on Saturday, Aug. 8 by offering tours of the marina and special rates for slip rental. The city’s harbormaster and support staff will be available from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. to show visitors the marina and talk about the various amenities offered. Visitors also can enjoy the beach, playground and swimming pool at the Yacht Club Community Park.
The city has 89 boat slips at the Yacht Club Basin, and 20 of the slips are available for rent at this time. The monthly fees for boats are $9 per foot and $30 per month for electric service. The marina is offering a special rate for boaters who sign an annual contract. Boaters will pay 11 monthly payments, and there will be no charge for the 12th month.
National Marina Day was established in 2002 to recognize the important role the marina industry plays in cities and towns across the nation as family-friendly gateways to boating and stewards of the environment.
