Kiwanis to pay tribute to long-time member

The Kiwanis Club and Cape Coral Kiwanis Foundation have announced the passing of long-time member and volunteer Ivan Rinehart. He passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009, at his home in Hot Springs, Ark., at the age of 100.
Rinehart lived in Cape Coral until 2006 when he moved to Arkansas to be closer to his family. For many years, he served as manager of the Kiwanis Thrift Store on Southeast 47th Terrace in Cape Coral.
In addition to his many friends in Kiwanis, Rinehart was a popular and well respected member of the community.
The Kiwanis Club will pay tribute to Rinehart’s memory at its meeting Tuesday, July 21, at 7 a.m. at the VFW Post 8463, 4709 S.E. 11th Place, Cape Coral. All of Rinehart’s friends are invited to attend this celebration of his life.
