Brightest Horizons Child Development Center, a child care facility located at 10320 Gladiolus Drive in Fort Myers, is hosting a golf outing on Sunday, May 17 at the Beachview Golf & Tennis Club in Sanibel.

Proceeds from the outing will be used to support the financial assistance given by Brightest Horizons, a very unique child care facility. Their mission is to provide educational and developmental child care for the children of low income working families.

Jim Luther, Chairman of the Board of Directors, reported that during the last year some 252 children were enrolled and only nine of these children did not receive some amount of financial assistance.

With this number of children receiving assistance, Brightest Horizons must raise more than $350,000 per year to have the necessary funds to meet the needs of the children.

The schedule for the outing is a 7:30 a.m. check in,, an 8:30 a.m. tee-off time for everyone and a buffet lunch and awards to follow immediately after the golf portion of the event. There will be prizes for men and women.

The cost to participate in the event is $65 per person. Further information and signup forms can be obtained at the golf course or by calling Dave Young, Development Director at Brightest Horizons, at 239-481-2100. The registration deadline is Monday, May 11.
