By Staff | Apr 9, 2009

Easter Sunrise Services will be held along the Sanibel Causeway this Sunday morning, April 12 at 6:30 a.m., Sanibel Community Church announced last week.

This community service features both traditional and contemporary music, drama, the Sanctuary Choir, a drama presentation and special music by the Teen Challenge US organization, which provides successful recovery programs for breaking the addiction cycle. A love offering will be received for Teen Challenge USA.

Also offered will be a message by Sr. Pastor Daryl Donovan. A believer’s baptism by immersion will be performed in the Gulf waters at the conclusion of the service. Bring a blanket or folding chair and enjoy the sunrise as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In addition, Easter Services will be held at the Sanibel Community Church later on Sunday morning.

Traditional services are at 8 and 10:45 a.m., with Communion served at the 8 a.m. service. The Sanctuary Choir will be singing the 10:45 a.m. service. Contemporary services are at 9 and 11:15 a.m., with the Praise Team leading the worship. The Teen Challenge USA organization, which provides successful recovery programs for breaking the addiction cycle, will present a special drama at the 9 a.m. service. All are invited to share in these Resurrection Sunday services.
