Power restored after early morning outage

By Staff | Jan 21, 2009

Power has been restored after an early morning outage left approximately 3,000 Cape Coral homes without electricity on one of the coldest mornings in recent history.
Lee County Electric Cooperative spokesperson Karen Ryan said the power went down around 8:40 this morning but was restored by 9:10.
Although an errant tree branch may have been the culprit, Ryan said LCEC crews could not substantiate a definite cause of the outage.
