By Staff | Jan 14, 2009

Cape Coral Police are asking the public for help in apprehending a man who approached a female juvenile at a bus stop in the Southeast Cape Wednesday morning and attempted to abduct her.
The attempt occurred earlier at 6:30 a.m. The man exited his vehicle, described as a newer, 4-door, gray compact car with medium-tinted windows. The suspect left his driver’s side door open and approached the girl. He grabbed her by the wrist in a possible attempt to get her into his vehicle. However, the juvenile pulled away and ran. The man was wearing dark-colored gloves when he grabbed the girl. He then got back into his car and drove away from the area.
Police are asking anyone who has information on this suspect to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS. If the tip leads to an arrest, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward of $1,000.
