1 min read

The utilities assessment notices have been mailed to residents in Southwest 6/7.

Details of the assessments and payment options will be explained in detail in the information packets residents will receive with their notices and at a community meeting to be held at City Hall in the Council Chamber on Oct. 16 at 5:30 p.m.

Construction in the Southwest 6/7 area is slated to begin November 2008 and continue through June 2010.

The city strongly encourages residents to attend the community meeting on Oct. 16 at City Hall to learn more about assessment payments and the Utilities Extension Program.

The Cape Coral Utilities Extension Program will extend collection and distribution systems to areas currently served by shallow wells and septic systems. Systems for potable (drinkable) water, secondary (reuse) water and gravity sewer are included in the plan, and being constructed by MWH Constructors and a team of local and national subcontractors.
