The Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Club recently donated $3,000 to the Sanibel Historical Museum and Village. The funds are meant to mitigate the cost of the museum's free admission for children under 18 years old. Ty Symroski, Rotary's sponsor for the venue, explained that the club is a service organization that puts service above self and the museum provides a great service to the community. Over 1,000 youth visit the facility every year. The Sanibel Historical Museum and Village is at 950 Dunlop Road, Sanibel. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is $10 for ages 18 and older; youth and members are free. Docent-guided tours are at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., based upon docent availability. For information, call 239-472-4648 or visit
