Cape police release sketch of shooting suspect

The Cape Coral Police Department has released a composite sketch of a man sought in connection to a shooting Tuesday at a Cape Coral residence that left one person dead.

The suspect is described as a black man, 25 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds. He has short black hair, brown eyes and a thin build, according to officials. He was wearing a black shirt and gray pants at the time.

Just after 2 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a report of a shooting at 4128 S.W. Seventh Place. Officers discovered Andre Kayson Warburton, 25, of 4348 Cortina Circle, Fort Myers, outside of the doorway of the home.

Warburton had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died on scene.

According to officials, his body was taken to the Lee County Medical Examiner’s Office on Tuesday. An autopsy was scheduled to be performed.

Witnesses reported observing a black SUV, possibly a Cadillac Escalade, leaving the Cape neighborhood around the time of the shooting.
